Images in Red

I continue to be inspired by Jess at I’ve Been Travelling Blog, who recently posted several features focusing on a particular color. This week I will continue on that theme and focus on red. Red can invoke a gamut of emotions including anger, passion, danger, energy, excitement and power. Here are a few great quotes about the color red:

When in doubt, wear red. Bill Blass, fashion designer.

There is a shade of red in every woman. Audrey Hepburn, actress.

Nothing attracts attention like a red dress. Laura Bush, former First Lady of the US.

This warm color is found in food, nature, art, early cave drawings, in man-made objects and in the human body. As you will see in my photos below; red is ubiquitious.

“With a smile that glowed Celestial rosy red, love’s proper hue.” John Milton, English poet and historian.

  1. Great photos! Red is a powerful color, always invokes an emotion. I especially like the red dress quote from Laura Bush! The dessert photos are mouth watering. One of my favorites is the red door to nowhere on Whidbey! And of course Neville!
