Happy Holidays!

It has been a busy month of holiday related activities for theTravelersketcher (my husband) and me, and the fun continues with many more functions and parties in the days ahead. We’ll be in Oregon to visit family there, then back to Washington to celebrate with family and friends here. If you count your riches in family and friends, then I am very wealthy indeed!

I am posting a short blog today to allow time to finish my holiday preparations, but wanted to share one of my family’s holiday transitions with you. For many years we have watched Polar Express on Christmas Eve with whoever happens to be with us. My daughter makes fabulous hot chocolate that begins with chopping some high quality, dark chocolate, slowly melting it and whisking in milk and cream; yummy! On this particular occasion, my husband’s grandchildren were with us.

Luckily, our Polar Express tradition will continue this year with my daughter and son-in-law at their home in Oregon.

Whether you celebrate Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, the winter solstice, or some other holiday, I hope it is a happy one filled with love, peace, joy, family and friends.

Happy Holidays!
