Travel Quote

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends. Maya Andelou

  1. That’s a beautiful quote! Travelling to diverse places really does broaden the mind and that’s why I also love a quote by Mark Twain:

“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.” Cheers 🙂 Aiva xx

  2. I very much agree. I always find myself in interesting conversations with locals and other travelers about their lives. I learn so much! This is also a good reason to learn a foreign language and use it on your travels.
