Trees, Trees, and More Trees

The winter holidays are quickly approaching and theTravelsketcher and I are in the USA to celebrate with family and friends. We’ve been here for only six days and we have already seen my sister, brother-in-law, niece, and nephew, Terry’s sister and brother-in-law, multiple friends, and we celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary; whew! We’ll be up and down the west coast visiting more family and friends over the next few weeks. It’s been and will be, a lovely, celebratory time.

That said; I have not had time to prepare a proper blog post, so today I’m sharing photos from my collection of trees. I’ve had this idea for a long time, and today, as we are enjoying time with dear friends Shirley and Jim in their beautifully decorated home, seemed like the perfect time to share these. Here are a few of my favorites.

Capitol Reef National Park

Kyoto, Japan

Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, Australia

Bears Ear National Monument, Utah

Redwoods National Park, CA

Tree Lined Roads

Autumn Colors

Wintery Trees

Desert Trees

Majestic Trees

Tree Lined Paths

And of course, I had to include a photo of Shirley and Jim’s amazingly beautiful Christmas tree.

I hope you enjoyed these photos of some beautiful trees. I hope we work together to preserve these majestic Lords and Ladies for future generations to enjoy.

All the best,

Tricia

  2. Wonderful trees! Nice to see some lush green and fall foliages as the actual trees here are almost barren for the upcoming winter. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season with your family (and congrats on your 36th wedding anniversary)!

  3. It sounds like a wonderful time for you guys to be reunited with family and friends. My brother and his family also arrived yesterday from the UK (we last saw them 5 years ago) and we’re having such a great time. Trees became one of our favorite things in nature when we started going for long walks … while enjoying their shadow on hot days, we began to admire them as well. And you have the most beautiful trees in your post here – I especially like your tree lined roads/paths pictures. It’s a great post Tricia and a wonderful ode to the majestic tree.
