Such a true quote – every time I go anywhere I realise there’s so much more to see, so much more to learn. The world is truly a huge place.

Before we moved from the USA to France we had a map of the world mounted on the wall with pins in it of all the places we had traveled. Since we have been in France we have added ten more countries and multiple cities; yet it always looked like we had barely been anyplace, there are so many more places to go. The more we travel the more we realize how little of the world we have seen, it is a good reminder to not be arrogant that our view of things is the only way to look at things.

Yes, good point. We’ve been fortunate to have traveled to more countries than most, but it still feels like a drop in the bucket.

Been in that exact location before myself. Everyone should experience the parks of Utah. Amazing stuff.

….Maybe that’s enlightenment enough: to know that there is no final resting place of the mind; no moment of smug clarity. Perhaps wisdom … is realizing how small I am, and unwise, and how far I have yet to go.” Isn’t that a truly beautiful travel quote -Anthony Bourdain was not one to mince words about travelling and our place in this world. We’ve been travelling for the past two decades now and sometimes it feels like we’ve seen and know so much, but when we glance at the map it is clear that we’ve barely touched the surface. Thanks for sharing, and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx

Surely we will never be able to see/experience everything in this world … but one can try, right? This is a beautiful photo of such an interesting rock.
