Thanks Maggie. I was motivated to share this after seeing a few young people on a canal cruise in Amsterdam paying absolutely no attention to the beautiful scenery, or the commentary and only into taking selfies; sigh.

I love this quote, but after encountering obnoxious, selfish, “me first” Instagrammers and other tourists in Portugal, I love it even more.

I was actually motivated to share it after recently seeing several girls so into themselves and their selfies, that they were totally oblivious to those around them. It was really pathetic. Thanks for your comment!

In the famous Livraria Lello in Porto, people were blocking the stairs so they could take numerous varied photos of themselves on it. So self-centered!
