I’d heard that Annecy was pretty and this photo confirms it!

I’d love to go there, Tricia, but it’s probably beyond my means. More photos, please!

It is a very pretty town, but I would suggest visiting in the off-season since it was packed with tourists this past weekend. I’m slowly catching up on my posts; I’ll share more about Annecy next month. Thanks Jo!

That applies to most places these days, Tricia. Off to Valencia this weekend and hoping the weather is kind. You can have too much of a good thing 😗🩵

I’ve been to that exact spot! Lovely city, but we had a HORRIBLE time there. Fled it, in fact.

Oh no! I’m sorry to hear that. It is a very popular city, and was packed with tourists when we were there last weekend, which is definitely a turn off.

Methinks we weren’t blog buddies when I published this post. Read at your own risk – it might cause flashbacks.

Oh my; good call getting the heck out of dodge while you could! It was equally crowded when we were there, which was not fun. The ironic thing for us is that we visited 25 years ago, on our first trip to France, and it was not crowded at all. It was April, and it was absolutely lovely. We had hoped to recreate that visit; silly us. We were glad to leave, and will undoubtedly never return. Thanks for sharing!

Was it June/July when you visited this time around?

Well that gives me hope then. I plan to return someday in April or May. Hopefully it’ll be saner.

It is a beautiful place. But if you visit, do so in the off-season as it’s packed with tourists in the summer. Thanks for your comment!

And I think you guys can echo this quote from your own experience! Once you have travelled as much as you do, you realise how big the world really is.

He was such an amazing person, and instrumental in preserving many beautiful areas in the US. He’s a natural treasure for sure. Thank you!
