This is the perfect quote given that this is our last week in France.
I had come to the conclusion that I must really be French, only no one had ever informed me of this fact. I loved the food, the people, the lay of the land, the civilized atmosphere, and the generous pace of life. Julia Child
France has so much to offer, no wonder it’s the top tourist destination in the world. It has beautiful châteaux,

charming and inviting cities and villages,

gorgeous cathedrals,

and magnificent monuments,

To say that I will miss living here in an understatement. The expat life broadens one’s mind, challenges our beliefs and tests our character like nothing else I have ever encountered. I will be forever grateful for this life-changing experience.
All the best,
Tricia
I agree, Tricia. Having also been an ex-pat living in Europe (and also in the U.S.) it definitely does broaden the mind. A beautiful tribute to your time in France. I love it, too. 😊

Your photos are a convincing argument, Tricia. So- home for a while, before you wander again? Things change in life, don’t they? I’ve enjoyed your travels.

Thanks Jo. Yes, we have travel planes for Central America and Mexico after the first of the year. And who knows, we may return to France someday.

Yes, me too. We visited Mexico several times many decades ago; I’m sure it’s changed drastically sine then!

I really enjoyed getting to know France through your lens (and through Terry’s paintings). I know you take the fondest memories of your time in France with you back to the US. When I see châteaux, I always think of you … so, in a way, you became French to me.

So many beautiful photos. I am glad you had a great time exploring France. It has long been one of my favourite countries to visit given its astonishing historical and natural sites, centuries-old buildings, glorious castles, beautiful countryside, serene beaches and many more interesting features. Thanks for sharing, and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx

I tried to read the quote in my best Julia Child’s voice 😊 Your selection of pictures really show what a lovely country it is. Maggie

Haha, in my head I did, but probably not in reality 😊 Meryl Streep is better.
