Funny that we think of ourselves as so much more worldly than previous generations and yet you find these great travel quotes from hundreds of years ago. This one especially speaks to me. Maggie

That’s so true. Travel was far more difficult then and time consuming as well. Apparently he traveled all over Europe, and wrote travelogues about his adventures. They’d probably be interesting to read. Thanks for your comment.

This is beautiful. It’s my favorite so far, I think. “To move, to breathe, to fly, to float…” Is that not so lovely? Makes me want to unearth my childhood book of The Little Mermaid.
