That’s a great shot of the Arles amphitheater. Such amazing structures.

The brilliance of the Romans always amazes me.
I like a bit of travel planning, but also want to leave most of it up for improvising – maybe that is like dancing.

I wonder why the arch is not mentioned amongst the leading edge inventions in the history of the world. Without the arch these magnificent stone structures could not have been built.

That’s a good point Dave; it is unfortunately overlooked, but oh so important.

Love this quote so much I had to look up the author, I’ve never heard of him. Maggie

It’s a good quote. He was a prolific writer, but I haven’t read any of his works. Thanks for your comment!

From your posts, it seems like you have had some fantastic adventures! Terry is more of the planner for us, where as I like being surprised once we arrive at a destination. Ça marche!

I am full on in with that quote – my husband hates planning but I’ll be damned if he’s not got a laminated itinerary ready 🙂

Hmmm… Love your photo, but not quite sure I get the quote. Like a New Yorker cartoon you puzzle over until you give up. 🙂

Kurt Vonnegut can be quite vague at times. I took it to mean that the change and evolve.
