Not necessarily alone; but a new location is always a treat. Good questions, Jo; thanks!

I’ve literally done that! Really enjoyed it when I was a 20-something but I’ve since outgrown that. Great photo.

I think I’m 50/50 with the quote. It’s definitely nice to wake up in a strange place, but not alone. I want to share all the new things with someone who is with me. Like your lovely photo – I wouldn’t mind waking up there (and then immediately calling my travel companion to come and see how beautiful it is 😉).

I agree; I love exploring new places, but not necessarily alone. Thanks for commenting!

I agree with the other comments that I don’t want to do it alone. I solo-travelled when I was 21. Many times on that trip I wanted to rush home to share what I saw with someone but then come back to continue my trip. Maggie

I agree with you, solo travel is lonely. But the quote is an interesting perspective. Thanks, Maggie!

I also meant to say I’m not sure if I’ve ever read ‘pleasantest’ before!
