Oregon’s Autumn Colors

Autumn is a glorious time of year with its vast array of vibrant and brilliant shades of red, yellow, gold and orange. The fallen leaves become delicately diaphanous after falling from their lofty canopy above, settling on the ground below, and disintegrating into the earth. It truly is a magical time of year.

These photos were all taken in Oregon.

Autumn is a time for comfort food, and this stuffed pumpkin I made for our Sunday lunch hit the spot.

I hope you enjoyed these photos and are also enjoying all autumn has to offer. Happy autumn!

  1. I love these photos you took of the autumn colours around Oregon!

There’s something magical about watching the leaves fall after they finish changing colour, as they feel like pieces of nature’s puzzle that all come together to bring one final warmth before the eventual arrival of the winter season.

Thank you for sharing these photos with all of us!

    They’re absolutely stunning!

  2. What a coincidence! That looks a lot like Washington (lol). But I saw something a little confounding on my afternoon walk – crocuses that were blooming. Is it spring already?

  3. Gorgeous photos, what an autumnal extravaganza. This really is my favourite time of the year. The weather has been incredibly mild here in Novi Sad. We are looking at 19 degrees this Sunday. Also the food is a big part of autumnal bliss. The pumpkin looks great.

    1. Thanks so much, Leighton. I agree; it’s an incredible time of year when we see nature in all her glory. Oh my, 19 degrees sounds heavenly. It’s been quite mild here too, averaging about 15, which is quite odd for this time of year here. Thanks again for stopping by!

  4. Autumn is such a beautiful season (especially in Oregon it seems). Tanner Springs Park is so picturesque – I really like your close-up shots of the leaves. Sarah Addison Allen’s quote where she compares autumn to brown sugar and cinnamon just makes me love this season even more! And yummy for your stuffed pumpkin dish.

  5. I love all the vibrant colours of changing leaves and the warm, golden sunlight in your wonderfully captured photos.  It’s the season that evokes feelings of comfort through things like the crunch of leaves, the feel of a cosy sweater, and the smell of spices. Thanks for sharing, and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx
