Before a trip to Madrid many years ago, a friend who had lived there said ‘walk into the middle and get lost – that is the way to see the city’. So I did and it worked!

There’s definitely an element of truth in that quote, Tricia. I’m pretty good at getting lost xx

I couldn’t agree more with the quote and have definitely done that from time to time. Lovely photo, Tricia. 😊

I’m terrible with directions and have been know to get lost. But I love phrasing it around exploring instead 🙂

Maybe you just prefer taking the alternate routes. 😊 Keep exploring. Thanks for stopping by!

*smiling* I guess we are all different . . . I do tend to be somewhat accurate and try and make sure I do not get ‘lost’ however much fun and interesting that may at times be!

As do I, but I can appreciate the sentiment and adventure. Thanks for stopping by.

Haha, we have come across interesting scenes when we’ve gotten lost, but we try not to let it happen too often. 😊 Maggie

That’s a very good quote, Tricia! It’s exactly how we see it too. We experienced it firsthand on our long hikes on the Camino in both Spain and Portugal … and on top of that, we saw a lot of beautiful places that we wouldn’t have seen otherwise if we weren’t ‘going exploring’ 😁.

Absolutely! Some of the greatest experiences start from getting lost and ending up somewhere you never thought 🙂

I love how Justina Chen reframes the anxiety of disorientation as a positive opportunity for discovery and growth. Thanks for sharing, and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx

That is so very true, though we got lost on a hike this weekend, and ended up wading through a bog… my husband was not pleased with getting lost then haha 🙂
