Images in Red

Red can conjure a gamut of emotions including anger, passion, danger, energy, excitement and power. This warm color is found in food, nature, art, early cave drawings, in human-made objects and in the human body. As you will see in my photos below; red is ubiquitious.

Nothing attracts attention like a red dress. Laura Bush, former First Lady of the US.

When in doubt, wear red. Bill Blass, fashion designer.

And the marvelous rose became crimson, like the rose of the eastern sky. Crimson was the girdle of petals, and crimson as a ruby was the heart. Oscar Wilde

With a smile that glowed Celestial rosy red, love’s proper hue.” John Milton, English poet and historian.

As always, please leave a message, I would love to hear from you.

I hope you find some color to brighten your day.

  1. I love red (not necessarily to wear), but it always catches my eye when we travel. I love your red bicycles and yes, red in food always looks festive. You have beautiful photos here Tricia … but my favourite is Neville on the red blanket 💞.

  2. I love how the colour red creates striking focal points in photography. And I always love seeing the bright exterior of the Temple Bar pub, which many, many years ago used to be my favourite place to hang out with friends. Thanks for sharing, and have a good day 🙂 I think I am all caught up with your posts. It was quite a hectic summer juggling work and two kids, and I didn’t get to blog or interact with my favourite bloggers as much as I wanted, but the girls are off to school now, and I finally have a minute to myself. Ericeira started 3rd class, and it was Lilly’s first day at preschool, so emotions hit an all-time high in our household with floods of tears left and right. Take care 🙂 Aiva xx

    1. Oh my, thanks for sharing about your children; such an emotional time, but one you’ll cherish forever. It probably feels like a long time from your Temple Bar days. Thanks so much for following, supporting and always giving such thoughtful feedback on my posts. I hope you can find some quiet time in your day. All the best to you and your family, Tricia.

      1. You are very welcome. Your posts  always bring joy by providing inspiration, enabling armchair travel, offering practical tips, and connecting me to different cultures and experiences without leaving home. And, yes, you are right, Tricia, it does indeed feel like a long time from my Temple Bar days, but I woudn’t change it for anything. Take care, darling 🙂 xx
