Amusing Signs, Part V

Here is another post from my amusing sign collection. I love taking photos of signs that I find amusing, creative, ironic, odd, thought provoking or relatable. If you’re interested, here are the links to the previous posts on amusing signs.

Amusing Signs, Part IV

Here are my most recent finds.

I found some amusing ones on our recent trip to Mexico.

I saw these in France.

Emergency exit – let’s hope there’s not an emergency!

In the lovely market town of L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue.

The Keep Portland Weird initiative is alive and well! Here we love our expressiveness, individuality and reputation for being fun and quirky. With that in mind, here are some very Portlandish things I’ve seen lately.

A neighbor’s door sign.

My dear friend, Lisa, shared these two.

And a few oldies but goodies.

I hope you enjoyed these and they made you chuckle. As always, I would love to hear from you so please leave a message if you wish.

May you find amusement in your day!

  1. I love how your posts about amusing signs celebrate the unpolished brilliance of everyday signs; the ones that land a joke in a few words, misspell their way into perfection, or accidentally tell the truth. Keep them coming. Thanks for sharing, and have a good day 🙂 Aiva xx

  2. These posts always make me smile. Though that emergency exit is terrifying!! I’d also love to try some chess cake!! And I like the hat – I feel like “less assholes” is what the world needs right now.

  3. Haha, I deduce from all the signs that wine is a better drink than water 😁. And I wonder how a ‘braked potato’ tastes. There is one sign with which I wholeheartedly agree – the one where God says ‘Don’t make me come down there’ … I think He is pretty much fed up with humankind.
